Timeline for RideIt Sculpture Park Phase 1

This is a timeline for events leading up to Wild in the Streets 2012. This is a living document and will change as we move forward.

April 2012: Planning, preparation for Good Wood, first build, Wild in the Streets, after-party and benefit show.

Week of April 16: first press release goes out. Includes cause, art show info, Boards For Bros info, and tour teaser.

Throughout May: Emerica promotions, including scavenger hunts with Detroit shops, social media promotions, art show, video, and after-party announcements.

May 1: Boards For Bros bins to all shops in greater Detroit area. Boards For Bros promotion starts.

May 4: all boards and art for Good Wood show must be to Pat Miller.

May 19: Bidding For Good online auction starts.

May 26: Good Wood show in Hamtramck. Auction ends.

June 2: Construction starts on park (tentative).

June 11: Emerica tour starts in New Orleans. (Ends in Detroit June 19.)

June 16: Boards For Bros shop promotion ends, boards are picked up and prepped for set up.

June 20: Boards For Bros presentation to Kids of the Power House ‘Hood.

June 21: Wild in the Streets benefiting RideIt Sculpture Park. Wild in the Streets after-party and benefit show.

July 2: Follow-up video release on Wild in the Streets and surrounding events.

More dates TBA.

    Hi Jen,
    A lot of the newer posts have this information. Check the link at the top “How Can You Participate” and also the second link on the right that says “Wild in the Streets Benefit Show!” You can donate by bringing food or drinks to the crew now at the park, or come to the Benefit Show at Modern Skatepark in Royal Oak on Thursday night, or by visiting the Crowdrise page (link above). And don’t forget, even if you’re not going to skate, you can always come ride a bike with us! My wife and sister have done that a bunch and they love it! Hope to see you there! Thanks! –Mark
