Random Notes – Four Days To Go!

Emerica’s Wild in the Streets Detroit is this Thursday. Please help us spread the word — post this page as well as emerica.com/wildinthestreets in your Facebook pages, and share wherever you can.

Ride It Sculpture Park construction is underway. At East Davison St and Klinger in Detroit, near the east end of Davison Highway. If you come check it out, please, bring some water, chips, soda, or any good food you may have for the crew working there. Many of the skaters building the park are volunteering their time — they heard about the project and drove to Detroit from all over the country to be part of this project — and are scrapping to get by. Your help — even a little bit — makes a difference.

Launch Board Shop in Ann Arbor has come in with help on Wild in the Streets, and they’re collecting boards for Board for Bros. If you’re in the area, go grab a new board, donate your old one, and get a discount on Emerica gear!

Modern Skatepark, Refuge, Plus, and Chiips are all offering 10% discounts on Emerica on the same day you donate any hard goods for Boards for Bros. These are shops supporting skateboarding and they are worthy of your support.

You will be able to get all Wild in the Streets location at Emerica.com, but if you have any questions about anything with skateboarding in Detroit this week, please call Mark at 714-448-8951.

Here are a couple photos from the start of the build at RideIt Sculpture Park. Download and share! Oh, and be sure to tag everything with #rideitsculpturepark and #wits.

Some of the crew checking photos, the clean up session outside the RV, Pat and Tony tightening up the rebar, and some of the build so far.
